Chimera Lighting will be showing off their new RingMAXX ring light diffuser at NAB 2015. There are two models of the light – one for photographers which can accommodate four strobe lights and one for video pros, capable of holding four lights, hot or otherwise.
The huge ring clocks in at 48″ in diameter, with that large size leading to beautiful, even light distribution.
In Chimera Lighting’s words:
“Chimera Lighting is proud to introduce the RingMAXX designed in collaboration with Visionary Jarmo Pohjaniemi. See the this gorgeous light at Shoot The Centerfold workshop in Miami on March 21-22 and at NAB April 13-16. There are two versions of the RingMAXX. One for still photography allowing four strobes to be placed in the RingMAXX. The other is a high heat version for video which also accommodates four lights. The RingMAXX has an optional custom designed yoke for optimal support or two c-stands can be used. The rear of the RingMAXX has zippered openings allowing an ideal fit for a variety of lights. We recommend the Chimera Triolet with 500 or 1000 watt bulbs or your 200 watt HMI of choice for daylight shooting. The RingMAXX will find usage in high end portrait studios and on sets for beauty commercials. Look for the Chimera RingMAXX #1910 (strobe) and #1920 (continuous) at your photo and video stores of choice at the end of April.”
